Maple Restaurant: All-Day Breakfast in Makati City

Maple Restaurant, is one of the brands under the Max’s Group which handles popular restaurants such as Max’s Restaurant, Pancake House and Krispy Kreme Doughnuts. They are one of the restaurants offering an all-day breakfast in Makati City. Their cozy ambiance is located at San Antonio Plaza Arcade in front of Santuario De San Antonio, this is now hailed as a community breakfast place around Forbes Park. Here is my experience with Maple Restaurant.

The overall feel inside the restaurant is like the autumn season. Maple design patterns, maple colors, brown chairs and white tables adorned this small place which can accommodate around 20-30 people. Large windows definitely allows natural light to come in and a relaxing view of the church is a plus. We were welcomed by the team from the Pancake House group which shares the best sellers on the menu.

It was mixed with cherry tomatoes and walnuts. It is topped with poached egg, prosciutto, shavings of Grana Padano drizzled with balsamic reduction. And since the arugula tasted bitter, the light lemon vinaigrette saved it. This would-be heaven for those who love greens!

ARUGULA SALAD | A fresh mix of rocket arugula, cherry tomatoes and walnuts tossed with a light lemon vinaigrette and topped with poached egg, prosciutto, Grana Padano shavings and a drizzle of balsamic reduction.

My favorite of all the dishes! This signature Maple breakfast is topped with Canadian bacon, poached eggs and hollandaise sauce on top of a phyllo pastry. Chips and greens on the side was also served and this can be shared by two people. I enjoyed the balanced flavor of this dish and first time to try a puff pastry on Eggs Benedict. But I forgot to ask, can we request the bacon to be on the side and made it crispier? 128522

This is grilled Cajun chicken breast served with creamed spinach, bacon and dirty rice. The rice was mildly spicy which perfectly suited the overall taste of the dish. Although not one of my favorites, but a must-try for first timers.

BLACKENED CHICKEN | Chicken breast with spicy Cajun rub, grilled and served with creamed spinach, bacon and dirty rice.

| PRIME RIB TAPA (Php 530)

This is my second favorite! This is a marinated prime rib served with garlic rice and two eggs on the side. It also includes a tomato-onion salsa and atchara. What you love more about it, aside from the price, you can also request your preferred doneness. The one served to us I believe was medium rare as it was really seared outside with hints of red in the center. Though the presentation is quite dull, you will totally enjoy every bit of it. Forgot to ask again, do they offer it with mashed potato?

PRIME RIB TAPA | A traditional Filipino breakfast is taken to new heights. A marinated prime rib served with garlic rice, two eggs prepared the way you like, sidings of tomato-onion salsa and atchara.

And to finish off a dessert pie. This pie is filled with Granny Smith and red Washington apples. The sweet and crunchy streusel covered the top and a vanilla ice cream on the side. I considered this as my least favorite as it really lacks the apple pieness (imbento!) in it. But nevertheless, enjoyed the vanilla ice cream!

APPLE PIE with STREUSEL TOPPING | A light and buttery pastry crust filled with Granny Smith and red Washington apples tossed in maple syrup, covered in a sweet and cruncy streusel topping and served with vanilla ice cream.

So, if you consider to try out an all-day breakfast in Makati City, I recommend to head to Maple to enjoy their meals. They can also handle small events wherein reservations are just a phone call away.
